If you are not familiar with Kat's voice, take the time to click on her MySpace page and listen to her sing in the style of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, and Nina Simone. Read about her discovery and her likely rise to the upper echelons of recording artists in our time.

Kat sings in the clubs of our area, but this particular setting should provide an outstanding environment for her voice. The All Souls nave is not a huge space, but its acoustical design lends itself as a complement to the music. This space has been referred to as a “jewelbox of a church” and with its pensive space and the afternoon sun filtering through the gorgeous stained glass of Maitland Armstrong, this should be an unforgettable afternoon.

Stay around to greet friends and to learn more about Loving Food Resources at a reception in Zabriskie Hall located just down the cloister from the nave. All Souls, built in 1896 by George Washington Vanderbilt, was designed by Richard Morris Hunt, architect for the Biltmore House. It is one of a very few churches Hunt designed and is the only one remaining. All Souls is on the list of historic sites in the Asheville area.
